Oh, good Lord. A Happy Coffee Pot! There are some mornings when seeing that would pave the way to a cheerful demeanor minutes before the caffeine pumped through the blood... and other mornings when I'd see it's irresistable cuteness, and give it a growly stinkeye.

I kid. It's so adorable I want to hug it! Why would anyone give that up?

Beernola... I can't even guess what that's going to taste like. Hope I'm in line when you hand out the samples!

I am officially pumped up!! I'm making a lactose enhanced stout this weekend. All I have to do is find somebody with a newborn.

(I do the growly stinkey! Especially in th morning...)

I'm drinking my normal brew as I type, but I did wink at the happy Pot on my way by!

Cool retro coffee pot!! Where did you find it?

So will your beernola have beer nuts in it too??? Sounds like a nutritional bar breakthrough, love!!

Not fair! Now I can't bear to look at my ugly monochrome silver coffee urn. I'm not really a "keep up with the Jones" type of people, but now I have to have one!

I found this great retro urn in a property my boss bought on aution out of forclosure...

I try to fnd at least one keepsake from every flip we do, there was a ton of stuff in this place including the ashes of the owner!!!
(even his false teeth were next to the kitchen sink...)

...I picked the happy urn! sorry terrible pun, i know

if you want one Kris you'll probably have to paint your aluminum one yourself! LOL

And tell me how you liked Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, the author wrote The Dive From Clausen's Pier, right? I've had my eye on it.

(I was horrified)

Oshy! The Dive... is Anne Packer (it looks good) but Annie dillard wrote Pilgrim at TK... It is one of my all time fav's! (a Pulitzer winner)

I love the urn!! You made a great find! I was watching the antique road show on PBS the other night so the curious part of me had to look up your item (and by look up, I mean see if it is on E-Bay). There is one on E-Bay and they are asking $149.00 for it! Not trying to get you to sell it or anything--just letting you know it's a great find. Actually, it would be no matter what--I love the colors and style! Cool!

I haven't been on here in forever! How are ya?

Hey Shannon!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks again for the validation!! Wow, I actually found something of value to someone other than me for a switch. LOL

Things aren't going great, but I'm trying to keep busy (distracted)

This week I managed to tear most of my kitchen apart! It started with the shelf I hung for the microwave above the stove. I discovered I hadn't anchored it properly and it is now pulling the plaster down in a major way! This led to the big switcheroo...

I had to clear a spot to move the microwave to in the interim since I've got to move the stove to repair the wall. Sooo, first I moved Susan's old buffet find into the kitchen (where the white bookshelf was) The contents of that were piled on my table/chairs, then the bookshelf was going into the bedroom, but I found it wouldn't support the TV so first I had to move the narrow white shelf that held all my coffee cups into the corner between my 2 bedroom windows to put the TV on. Of course after that, my bed was facing the wrong way! sooo I had to swap the bookshelves in my loft around so that the short one was on the other end for my reading Lamp! Whew!!! After I got the bed switched around, and the TV junk moved over i WAS SO EXHAUSTED I had to collapse! You've probably noticed by nowthat I have disrupted most of the rooms in th ehouse and not yet taken down the microwave shelf!! OH I forgot about the bathroom, I was in process of moving that shelf into the kitcen to replace the two where I had my coffee pot/toaster next to the window. Now though that I've had a day or two... to think about it I think I'm jsu tgonna call Joe and order some cabinets for that wall (tops and bottoms) I will try out my new masonry skills on tiling a counertop for it! (If Matt likes it, maybe he will let me do the sink side cabinets over... )
Last night I got about half of the table cleared off and will hopefully finish tonight! Then FINALLY I can take down the microwave fiasco that started this whole thing!!

With my next burst of energy/creativity I think I'll demo the built-in next to the stove and set the stove into that nook with new built-ins above it...

Ha Ha! probably a little more info than y ou were looking for!! You are one of the few who will actually be able to follow not only my convoluted logic, but the logistics as well!!!

Have a nice day chica!
